Dawood Ahmed & Co has bought and sold used wheel excavators worldwide since 1996, with stock held in the UAE and sourced from markets across Europe, Japan, the Gulf and the United States. These are wheel excavators used for excavation and utility work where road travel matters, mostly Hitachi, Caterpillar and Komatsu. Machines bound for Vietnam move by sea freight into Hai Phong or Ho Chi Minh City; we prepare the shipping paperwork.
What we stock
Our wheel excavator stock changes constantly, we are buying as well as selling, so the list below is drawn live from our catalogue rather than written by hand. Typical makes are Hitachi, Caterpillar and Komatsu.
Every machine is sold as inspected. We do not overstate condition: what you see in the photographs on each listing is what ships. Serial numbers, year and hours are published on the listing page for each unit. If a machine you need is not on the list, we will source it, that is a large part of what we do.
What drives the price of a used wheel excavator
There is no single figure. Year, hours, make and condition move the price of a used wheel excavator more than anything else, and a well-maintained older machine will often be worth more than a neglected newer one. Hitachi units tend to hold value best.
For that reason we quote per machine rather than publishing a list price. Tell us the specification you need and where it is going, Vietnam, via sea freight into Hai Phong or Ho Chi Minh City, and we will come back the same working day with a firm price on the units that fit, whether from stock or sourced.
Quotes are ex-works where the machine stands unless you ask for a delivered price, which we are happy to give. Taxes, duties and registration in the destination country are not included unless we state so in writing.
Inspection, loading and paperwork
Machines can be inspected on any working day where they stand. We will start and run a wheel excavator for you, and there is no objection to you bringing your own technician or a third-party inspection company.
Once a machine is sold we handle loading and lashing, and issue the commercial documents. Shipping documentation for Vietnam is prepared in-house.
